Danielle Martin came to Foster America from the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services, where she worked for 20 years. She worked in various first-line roles, as well as held management and leadership positions, during that time. Danielle has also worked within programming focused on domestic violence awareness and early childhood education. She is a certified trainer for the Safe and Together, a model aimed at improving child welfare responses to domestic violence. She has trained attorneys, judges, child welfare staff, and service providers throughout the world on this model. Danielle has served as an adjunct professor for Ferris State University and Baker College. She facilitated trauma-informed child welfare practice trainings for 10 years for various groups.
