Our 2022 annual report highlights the accomplishments of our fifth and sixth cohorts of fellows as they improved outcomes for young adults exiting the system and strengthened support for caregivers of those still in foster care. We also share our emergent new strategy and an overview of our annual convening, the first time our network had reunited since the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the 2021 annual report, we highlight the accomplishments of our fourth cohort of fellows as they worked amid the increased challenges brought on by the pandemic. It also summarizes the early work of Cohort 5 and describes the new team-based model being deployed for Cohort 6.
On March 1, 2020, Foster America spun off from our fiscal sponsor, the Tides Center, and became an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit. Our inaugural report highlights our fellowship placements to date and takes an indepth look at the work our third cohort of fellows engaged in across the country throughout 2020.
Our experiences and the work of our fellows across the nation inform the four core Foster America strategies that drive our work — co-designing with communities, collaborating with partners, reprioritizing resources, and sharing what we learn.
